Houston is recognized as one of the premier medical capitals of the world. It is also the headquarters city for Alliance's many system development initiatives. One of the most important is the Institute for Radiologic Research, a non-profit entity, created to serve as a leading force in conducting focused research on improved technology, quality of care, and patient service. The institute has an Advisory Board comprised of clinical, business, and professional leaders throughout the United States who oversee the planning and development machinations of this organization. Special priorities have been established for innovative developments in teleradiology, improved care delivery for underserved communities, early detections, women's healthcare, and facilitated consumer interaction.

At
this time, the Institute is gathering data for the submissions of
future grant proposals in all of these areas. We will pursue contracts
with individuals, healthcare organizations, major businesses, and
research organizations to provide research on behalf of the Institute.
